Vacation planning during COVID-19
We’re about to take a family vacation time at our household. As we look to have some downtime with our family I liked into what we could do from a practical perspective with a 4 year old and 2 year old at home. The results were… not plentiful.
It made me think of the differences between house-arrest and attempting to vacation during COVID-19. The short answer is that House Arrest may, in some cases, offer more options.
Activity | House Arrest | Vacation During COVID-19 * |
---|---|---|
Attend Work | ✅ | ❌ |
Attend School | ✅ | ❌ |
Religious Worship | ✅ | ❌ |
Medical Appointments | ✅ | ❌ |
Going to a Bar | ❌ | ❌ |
Going to a Playground | ❌ | ❌ |
* Yes - some of these it’s possible that we can now go during Stage-2 lock down; however, I took a practical lens on would I do this with two little kids in tow.
Any practical (or frankly even impractical) suggestions are welcome.
